Microneedling

What Is Microneedling?

Microneedling (also known as collagen induction therapy) is a non-invasive treatment that creates controlled micro-injuries in the skin using ultra-fine needles. These tiny channels stimulate your body’s natural wound-healing response, boosting collagen, elastin, and cell turnover - all the things that keep skin youthful and glowing.

This treatment is often combined with medical-grade serums, growth factors, or PRP for next-level results.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does it hurt?

Not really! We apply a topical numbing cream before the treatment to make you comfortable. You may feel a slight scratching sensation, but most clients say it's totally manageable.

Is there any downtime?

A little. You’ll experience redness (like mild sunburn) for 1–3 days. You might also have: mild swelling, skin flaking or dryness (days 3–5), tiny dots or pinpoint scabs (if using a deeper needle depth).

By day 7, most clients are glowing.

When will I see results?

Some clients see a glow within a few days, but true results (collagen remodeling) show up around 4–6 weeks post-treatment and continue to improve over time.

Can I wear makeup after?

Not right away. Avoid makeup for at least 24–48 hours to let your skin heal and breathe. After that, stick to mineral-based, non-comedogenic products for a few days.

Is microneedling safe for all skin types?

Yes, generally - even darker skin tones (Fitzpatrick IV-VI), as it doesn’t use heat like lasers. However, clients with: active acne, eczema, psoriasis, or rosacea flares, open wounds or cold sores should wait or be assessed case-by-case

What’s the difference between microneedling and dermarolling?

Microneedling done professionally (with a pen device) is deeper, more precise, and safer than at-home rollers. Dermarollers often cause tears or uneven punctures, which can irritate the skin.

Can microneedling be combined with other treatments?

Yes! It pairs beautifully with:

  • PRP (Vampire Facial) – for collagen + healing boost
  • Polynucleotides – for hydration and skin regeneration
  • Mesotherapy – to infuse vitamins, peptides, and HA
  • LED therapy – to speed up healing

Is there a risk of infection?

Very low - when done in a clinical, sterile environment. Aftercare is key:

  • Keep skin clean
  • Avoid touching the face
  • No sweating, sun, or makeup for 24 hours
