What Are Chemical Peels?

Chemical peels are professional skin-resurfacing treatments that use specially formulated acids to exfoliate the top layers of the skin, stimulate cellular turnover, and promote regeneration. They can range from mild and refreshing to deep and corrective - and they’re always personalised based on your unique skin tone, skin condition, and goals.

This is not a one-size-fits-all treatment. At Crystal Skin Aesthetics, your peel is carefully chosen and layered with intention.

Products Used

We work with a range of industry-leading formulations, including:

– Mandelic acid (gentle, brightening, ideal for sensitive and darker skin types)
– Lactic acid (hydrating, great for dry and aging skin)
– Salicylic acid (deep-cleansing, great for acne and congestion)
– Glycolic acid (resurfacing, brightening, boosts collagen)
– Multi-acid blends (customised to target multiple concerns in one session)

Your skin will be assessed at consultation, and your peel will be matched accordingly.

Treatment Time & Results

• Procedure time: ~30–45 minutes
• Downtime: Varies - from zero to light flaking or visible peeling (3–7 days)
• Results appear: 5–10 days post-treatment, depending on depth
• Course: 3–6 peels spaced 2–4 weeks apart for corrective results
• Lasts: Results are cumulative and improve with consistent skincare and sun protection

Aftercare & Tips

• Use gentle, hydrating skincare for at least 5–7 days
• Absolutely no sun exposure or tanning (SPF is non-negotiable!)
• No retinols, exfoliants, or actives for 7 days pre- and post-peel
• Skin may feel tight, sensitive, or start to flake - this is normal
• Do not pick or peel off flaking skin
• Keep the skin nourished, calm, and protected
